About the role
Ener Tech Solutions Sdn. Bhd., a leading industrial automation and engineering solutions provider, is looking for an experienced and hands-on IT/OT Cybersecurity Engineer to join our growing team. This role focuses on securing industrial automation, SCADA, and IT/OT integrated environments across various manufacturing and industrial projects. You will play a key role in implementing and supporting cybersecurity solutions for industrial networks, SCADA systems, servers, workstations, and remote access infrastructure. The role requires close collaboration with automation engineers, client IT teams, and project teams to ensure secure, stable, and reliable operations in industrial environments.What you'll be doing
- Implement, configure, and maintain cybersecurity solutions for industrial automation and IT/OT environments
- Design and support industrial network security architecture including firewall configuration, VLAN segmentation, VPN, and secure remote access
- Perform system hardening for Windows servers, SCADA workstations, and industrial systems
- Support deployment and integration of industrial cybersecurity and monitoring solutions
- Work closely with automation engineers and client IT teams to ensure secure SCADA and OT system integration
- Perform troubleshooting, network diagnostics, and cybersecurity issue resolution during project implementation and support
- Monitor and maintain OT network infrastructure, firewall policies, access controls, and backup strategies
- Prepare technical documentation including network architecture, implementation reports, SOPs, and cybersecurity configurations
- Participate in cybersecurity assessments, vulnerability mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure cybersecurity implementation aligns with customer requirements, industrial cybersecurity standards, and IT/OT best practices including network segmentation, secure remote access, system hardening, and operational continuity
- Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in network security, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or industrial automation environments
- Hands-on experience in firewall configuration, VPN technologies, VLAN, routing, switching, and network segmentation
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, backup systems, and system hardening
- Familiarity with industrial automation or SCADA environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge in industrial networking and protocols such as Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP, OPC UA, or Industrial Ethernet is an added advantage
- Experience with industrial cybersecurity platforms such as Nozomi, Claroty, Dragos, or similar solutions is an added advantage
- Familiarity with industrial and enterprise cybersecurity standards/frameworks such as IEC 62443, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF), ISO/IEC 27001, CIS Hardening Guidelines, and OT network segmentation best practices is an added advantage
- Experience supporting cybersecurity implementation in semiconductor, manufacturing, industrial automation, or data center environments will be an added advantage
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently, manage multiple projects, and support onsite activities when required

This role is crucial in driving the successful delivery of our projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from planning and execution to close-out, all while working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve our company's strategic objectives.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring effective resource allocation
- Coordinate and collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure seamless project execution
- Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and provide regular updates to the management team
- Ensure projects adhere to all relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, contributing to the overall success of the project
- Participate in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including reports, budgets, and schedules

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members and clients to develop engineering solutions for system architecture, layout, IO assignment, bill of materials, electrical schematic drawings, and documentation.
- Liaise with clients to ensure that the control software developed are as per user system requirement (USR), besides act as a point of contact for software development process both internally and externally.
- Develop PLC, HMI and SCADA mainly for Siemens, Mitsubishi or Allen Bradley.
- Conduct factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance test (SAT).
- Conduct on-site troubleshooting for control system.
- Carry on ad hoc tasks given by superior.
- Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent. Fresh graduates with related disciplines are encourage to apply.
- Required skill(s): PLC, HMI or SCADA programming software
- Posses own transportation and willing to travel when required.
- Able to work under pressure and meet project deadline when required.

- Panel fabrication, termination and installation.
- Field site service and project installation.
- Instrument calibration & service contract.
- System testing & commissioning and troubleshooting, follow up after sales service.
- Assist project engineer/ software engineer to perform the job.
- Candidate must possess at least Primary/Secondary School/SPM/"O" Level, Professional Certificate, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
- No work experience required.1 - 2 years of related experience is an added advantage.
- Preferably Entry Level specialized in Engineering - Electrical or equivalent.
- Willing to travel domestically & overseas.
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Able to work shift.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive technical design documentation in alignment with project specifications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Review and analyze design drawings and overseeing installation processes with meticulous attention to detail.
- Keep the project team informed with detailed updates on work progress, fostering clear communication and collaboration.
- Work closely with the site supervisor and installation team to coordinate project execution.
- Coordinate and lead testing activities and documented in reports.
- Foster effective collaboration with clients, regulatory bodies, consultants and subcontractors to ensure project success on both technical and commercial fronts.
- Uphold the highest standards of quality and safety throughout installation activities, ensuring compliance with specified standards before client handover.
- Proactively contribute to project objectives by undertaking various ad-hoc responsibilities as directed by superiors.
- Possess an Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Electrical, Control, or Networking, with a specialization in industrial environments or data centers.
- Required skill(s): Basic knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English. Others local language will be an added advantages.
- Possess own transportation and willing to travel when required and able to work under pressure and meet project deadline when required.
Responsibilities:
- As a project engineer, you will be working together with a team of young and passionate highly dedicated engineers and managers, in project execution and management, which include planning, scheduling, coordination resources and manpower arrangement and testing and commissioning.
- You are also require to liaise with your team and clients to work on the engineering for the system architecture, layout, IO assignment, bill of materials, electrical schematic drawings, documentation and reports according to ISO standard.
- Ensure the fulfillment of specified quality and safety standards in all installation activities.
- Undertake various ad-hoc responsibilities as directed by superiors, contributing proactively to the overall success of project objectives.
- Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
- Prefer with at least min 3 year(s) of working experience in the electrical construction.
- Experience in electrical hook up and semiconductor is added advantage.
- Required skill(s): Basic knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English. Others local language will be an added advantages.
- Possess own transportation and willing to travel when required and able to work under pressure and meet project deadline when required.
