About the role

Ener Tech Solutions Sdn. Bhd., a leading industrial automation and engineering solutions provider, is looking for an experienced and hands-on IT/OT Cybersecurity Engineer to join our growing team. This role focuses on securing industrial automation, SCADA, and IT/OT integrated environments across various manufacturing and industrial projects.
You will play a key role in implementing and supporting cybersecurity solutions for industrial networks, SCADA systems, servers, workstations, and remote access infrastructure. The role requires close collaboration with automation engineers, client IT teams, and project teams to ensure secure, stable, and reliable operations in industrial environments.

What you’ll be doing

• Implement, configure, and maintain cybersecurity solutions for industrial automation and IT/OT environments
• Design and support industrial network security architecture including firewall configuration, VLAN segmentation, VPN, and secure remote access
• Perform system hardening for Windows servers, SCADA workstations, and industrial systems
• Support deployment and integration of industrial cybersecurity and monitoring solutions
• Work closely with automation engineers and client IT teams to ensure secure SCADA and OT system integration
• Perform troubleshooting, network diagnostics, and cybersecurity issue resolution during project implementation and support
• Monitor and maintain OT network infrastructure, firewall policies, access controls, and backup strategies
• Prepare technical documentation including network architecture, implementation reports, SOPs, and cybersecurity configurations
• Participate in cybersecurity assessments, vulnerability mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure cybersecurity implementation aligns with customer requirements, industrial cybersecurity standards, and IT/OT best practices including network segmentation, secure remote access, system hardening, and operational continuity

What we’re looking for

• Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in network security, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or industrial automation environments
• Hands-on experience in firewall configuration, VPN technologies, VLAN, routing, switching, and network segmentation
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, backup systems, and system hardening
• Familiarity with industrial automation or SCADA environments is highly preferred
• Knowledge in industrial networking and protocols such as Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP, OPC UA, or Industrial Ethernet is an added advantage
• Experience with industrial cybersecurity platforms such as Nozomi, Claroty, Dragos, or similar solutions is an added advantage
• Familiarity with industrial and enterprise cybersecurity standards/frameworks such as IEC 62443, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF), ISO/IEC 27001, CIS Hardening Guidelines, and OT network segmentation best practices is an added advantage
• Experience supporting cybersecurity implementation in semiconductor, manufacturing, industrial automation, or data center environments will be an added advantage
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently, manage multiple projects, and support onsite activities when required
• Can be base at Shah Alam (Selangor), Penang or Kulim – to be discuss.
